Threats to Education in the Developing World

Nelson Mandela once said “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”.

If education is the weapon, who is the enemy?

Below are examples of what can act as a barrier to people getting an education in poverty stricken countries.

War

Religious Fundamentalism

Lack of Infrastructure

Child Labour

Corruption

Poor Allocation of Government Funds

So what do you think?  Which is most responsible for stopping the education of those in poverty, and what can we do to fight against these forces?

Thanks,
The guys from Edz.
